Refund & Cancellation Policy
Scope
This Policy applies to Visual Lexicon’s paid subscription plans (Basic / Pro). Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be canceled at any time. See our Terms and Privacy Notice.
Cancellations
- You may cancel your subscription at any time.
 - Upon cancellation, future renewals stop immediately; access generally remains until the end of the current billing period.
 - Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete your account.
 
Refunds (General Rule)
Because subscriptions are month-to-month, we do not provide pro-rated or partial refunds for the current billing period once it has started, except as outlined below or where required by law.
Refund Exceptions
- Duplicate charges (e.g., the same account charged twice for the same period)
 - Charges after a valid cancellation
 - Unauthorized or fraudulent charges (e.g., card theft)
 - Sustained service unavailability that materially prevents normal use
 
We review each request in good faith based on logs and payment records.
How to Cancel or Request a Refund
- Cancel in the app’s subscription management flow (or via the subscription link provided in our emails).
 - For refunds, email support@visuallexicon.org with purchase email, charge date, amount, and last 4 digits of the payment method. For privacy questions, contact support@visuallexicon.org.
 
Timelines
- Request window: Please contact us within 7 days of the charge to maximize reversal options.
 - Payout timing: Once approved, refunds are usually processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days (may vary by bank or card network).
 
Your Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits statutory consumer rights or mandatory rights under applicable law. Where local law conflicts with this Policy, the law prevails.
Policy Changes
If we update this Policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. This mirrors how we update our Terms and Privacy notices.
